Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Mercedes Llama Estevez is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) who joined Florida Lung & Sleep Associates in 2024. She brings a unique combination of advanced clinical training and extensive medical experience to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to our community.

Education & Training

Mercedes earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Miami Regional University in Miami Springs, Florida, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List for academic excellence. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in 2021 and holds advanced licensure as an APRN through the Florida Board of Nursing.

Languages

Mercedes is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with our diverse patient population in Southwest Florida.

Mercedes is dedicated to improving quality of life for every patient she sees. She takes time to listen to patient concerns, explain conditions and treatment options clearly, and work collaboratively with Dr. El-Gendy and the clinical team to deliver comprehensive pulmonary and sleep care.
