Florida Lung & Sleep Associates
Since opening our practice in 2002, Florida Lung & Sleep Associates has consistently delivered the best in preventive care, patient education, and effective treatments to patients in and around Lehigh Acres and Fort Myers, Florida.
Our pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine specialists treat asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), lung cancer, and sleep disorders using the latest technology and most effective medical protocols available.
Our specialists at Florida Lung & Sleep Associates use a variety of advanced testing methods, including arterial blood gas, oxygen qualification, sleep studies, and pulmonary function testing. The skilled medical providers perform special bronchoscopy procedures, including endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, bronchial thermoplasty, argon plasma coagulation, and airway stenting.
Our dedicated medical team at Florida Lung & Sleep Associates continually strives to maintain our position as Florida’s leaders in pulmonary and sleep medicine. We regularly conduct clinical trials using the latest technologies and medicines, so our patients are frequently among the first to try innovative new solutions.
FLSA is accredited by two (2) accrediting agencies, The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (“AASM”) & The College of American Pathologists (“CAP”). These agencies offer the highest level of accreditation, which shows how committed we are to high quality and high standards.
FLSA has a four-bed accredited Sleep Center to diagnose and treat patients who have all types of sleep disorders. AASM Accreditation for Sleep Disorders Centers is a voluntary process for the assessment of sleep programs. By achieving accreditation, we demonstrate a commitment to the provision of quality services and the longitudinal management of sleep patients. This reflects our commitment to ensure that sleep disorders patients receive the highest quality of care. It is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public evaluate sleep medicine facilities. It also acts as an indicator to patients, insurance carriers, and physicians that a facility is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. FLSA was one of the first Sleep Centers to be accredited by the AASM for sleep medicine services.
FLSA also has a full Pulmonary Function Laboratory to diagnose and treat patients who have lung disorders such as Asthma, COPD, and Emphysema. FLSA is certified by CLIA and is accredited by the CAP to perform arterial blood gases (“ABG”), hemoglobin, hematocrit, quantitative carboxyhemoglobin, quantitative methemoglobin, quantitative glucose, chloride, ionized calcium, potassium, and sodium.
